"A Gecko fell on me!"

She was delighted by showering geckos on the Pau Hana lanai. Girl is reptile-crazy.

Some Hawaiian Dogs

Back on Kauai

I know, bo-oring. Kauai, time after time. I apologize. BUT take heart: we have something more exotic taking shape for NEXT year. Stay tuned for more on that.

MEANWHILE.. Here we are.

It's weird as hell being here in the rainy season for a change. It rains some more, sure, but the real difference is Hanalei Bay, PACKED with surfers. Every other visit here, the Bay has been like a giant, warm, gentle bathtub. It was all different today. Not violent big surf like other North Shore beaches, but surf nonetheless.

Behind my House

Jim Grant called me today just to let me know he was taking his pics for the week in the South Park Blocks. Man, I'm behind. Work has been extra-crazy, and I'm shorthanded, and I'm prepping for our next trip (we leave on Monday for 10 days), so, I'm ashamed to admit, photography hasn't been getting much of my attention so far in November.

So, thanks to his prod, I took the camera with me on today's dog walk behind my house.

"You haven't got a shot of my nostril yet.."

OK, let's fix that.

Family reunion at Lake Havasu City, and Cousin Dick was making a comment on how snap-happy I was.

Little Blonde Monk

At the Airport Mesa Vortex in Sedona, Deena does her new-age woo-woo thing. Rock on, baby. I'll take pictures.

It's very big here, and it's hard not to have your breath taken away by how beautiful and powerful our planet is.

Autumn..

..my second-favorite season (formerly numreo uno, until I discovered the tropics where summer never ends; now, well..).

As I was saying: autmn. Fall. It smells good, it looks good, there's different stuff to eat, and I'm allowed to scare children. Awesome. And 'round home, it means the annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch.
Yeah, they've got elephant ears and bratwurst and a petting zoo and a farmer's market and hayrides and the bigass hay maze and, well, pumpkins of course.

The dog loves it too. She knows where we're going and whines when we get there and runs amok. It's treat for all of us.
